I should have just stayed at home…
I was going to attend a Linux User Group in my area, so packed up my trusty laptop and strode out into the chill evening. Then my bus didn't come. Then it started pouring with rain. Then the umbrella I sensibly took out with me blew inside-out. Then I trudged home.
Now I'm sat warming my hands over the red glow of my desktop PC's keyboard and sipping on a restorative glass of JD. Perhaps for the next meeting the gods of public transport will smile upon me.
