Synopsis
In a future where much of humanity’s knowledge has been lost, science is feared, books are forbidden, and the remnants of the old world are condemned as heresy. Chance has spent her life hidden from that world. Blind from birth, fiercely curious and raised by her father among secret books and forbidden technology, she knows that discovery could cost them everything.
Then Aiden enters her life. Raised in a village ruled by the very beliefs Chance’s father fled, he has been taught to fear the knowledge they preserve. But friendship with Chance begins to challenge everything he has accepted about his society, its history, and the mysterious relics of the civilisation that came before. The more they learn, the harder it becomes to leave the past buried.
Riding The Light is a young-adult science-fiction story about friendship, curiosity and the courage to question what everyone around you insists must be true.
